Windows 8.1 is coming this month

Windows 8.1 will be released as a RTM version to OEM's this month.The general availability of Windows 8.1 is expected to be short after the RTM comes out. Windows 8.1 is now at a preview stage available for download for free. Windows 8.1 includes a major overhaul for Windows 8.

Windows 8.1 start screen has new tile sizes
Windows 8.1 brings the old start button to it's place but it does not open the traditional start menu found in Windows 7 but acts as an mediator between the new start screen and the desktop.The PC settings in the modern has been completely revamped and it shows a wide range of options and settings which was confined only to traditional control panel in Windows 8.The Start screen receives a lot of changes with new tile sizes and powerful organization of tiles.If you wanted to directly boot to desktop then you are in luck because Windows 8.1 brings this cool new feature with it.The snap feature is greatly improved with the ability to run up to 4 apps at the same time.It also enables to use the snap feature in smaller resolutions.The search feature is completely re-defined which now shows results from web,apps and more .
